Naval Biliran Mayor Jerry Espina Sr. took to his RN radio program “Pag-usapan Natin” pleading with the province feuding political malnourish to show unity as the country appeared of more deaths on journalists and activist.

As reported 73 leftist activists was brutally murdered by suspected government agents so far this year and 152 in 2005. At least 79 journalists have been killed since 1986, according to the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines.

Since President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo assumed office in 2001, more than 140 activists have been kidnapped and remain missing, the group said. Nearly 600 people were also killed during this period.

The latest casualty is Fernando Batul who died in a hail of gunfire on his way to work at the dyPR radio station in Puerto Princesa, the usually sleepy capital of Palawan Island in the western Philippines.

Mr. Batul regularly aired hard-hitting investigations into local government officials and the military on his show. He attacked many people with truth like what the Biliran Chronicle and CNBPNews do.

In the Biliran province…not bad …only two unsolved crimes reported and one rubbery hold-up by one of Espina’s bodyguard.

Honorable Espina urge Biliranon for unity a cover-up stories twisting issue to boast the province poor economy and massive unemployment were reported throughout a decade and century, ironically the province dire-needs is moving-on from a rotten past economy spearheaded by crooked, hungry and “maniakis” politician.

Espina said; “Biliran province is now different than before” because before it is a Sub-province, and the sub-province pork-barrel were use in direct link for Tacloban to Balagiga and now transformed into province from the hard-work of Borrinaga and his ilk…Susmariosep!

He added; the best way to make Biliran into an economic hub in Asia is to go behind Singapore footstep and declare Biliran province for independence. …wow!
